Just after midnight tonight (Sun-Mon), our little boy will turn 3 weeks old! While I can't believe he's growing so quickly, neither can I imagine what life was like without him. Here are the changes we have notcied this week:
- he now weighs over 11 lbs
- he still fits nicely into newborn-size sleepers
- his neck and legs are growing noticeably stronger every day
- his eyes seem to be turning lighter blue (like his dad's)
- his hair is coming in with very blond roots (though it still has a slightly reddish tinge overall)
- he continues to eat like a champ (something has to explain his 1.5 lb weight gain in 3 weeks, after all) - we call him the Hungry Hungry Hippo
- Nickname of choice seems to be 'Kiva'
- His birth certificate arrived - it's hard to believe that I have an official government document stating that we are his parents. Next month we'll go to Vancouver to get him a U.S. social security number and passport.
