Since I've been pregnant, I've left the car unlocked three times downtown with my purse in plain sight. It's a miracle nothing was stolen. Today, I went to meet Mark for lunch at his office. When I got back to the car, it wouldn't start. I looked down at the gear shift and saw that I had left the car in drive with no emergency brake on. Good thing I wasn't parked on a hill.
The picture is of St. Ann's Academy here in Victoria. It was a Catholic school until the 1970s when it was sold to the government of British Columbia. It's now used as office space for the ministry of Education - where Mark works and where we often eat lunch outdoors.
