End of Feb

Busy week here. Kiv was diagnosed with Fifth Disease on Sunday (a rash covering much of his body led us to take him to the clinic). Not serious but I suspect this is why we've all been fatigued and whiny/cranky.

Here's a kid update and some pics plus a video of Mia.

Kiv
*another growth spurt has him outgrowing many of his pants. He's 36.4 lbs now.
*starting to have a real imagination - pretends tp make 'food' and fixes/builds things around the house. Still not too much into crafts.
*will putter around in the yard for hours doing 'work' (pretending to trim bushes or shoveling rocks)
*he's gotten a little pickier about food though I'm not sure if this is a result of the Fifth Disease or just normal 3-year-old palette. That said he put away an entire 10 in pizza last night!
*he's definitely a caretaker type of personality and is very concerned if he thinks Benj is doing something dangerous. If I've gotten angry he'll ask me later "Are you ok, Mom?"
*officially potty trained for nearly 2 months now!
*we've started putting him to bed in the nursery again to make bedtime go more smoothly. We generally bring him to bed with us when we go to sleep. If he stays in his own bed for the night he will usually end up in bed with us at 5 or so.

Benj
*Still teething - just the canines to go
*Had another crash yesterday on the two steps at in our front yard. Cut his scalp which bled profusely even though the cut was miniscule) and skinned his nose. Poor babe.
*Has more words every day. Calls Kiv "A-hee" and the dog "Ay-lee". Apple is "ahp". He's been able to say Mia for a while. I'm sure he has more words and I'm just not understanding.
*He's very funny with impeccable timing. The other day at the park his pants were typically halfway down his bum so I said "Benj I can see your bum! Come let me pull up your trousers!" He faces me, bends over, slaps his bum with both hand and giggles madly. Funny kid.
*He gives Mia lots of love and kisses though will still try to hit her if she's on my lap and he wants to be held
*He and Kiv are best buddies and definitely partners in crime. They chase each other around and around through the kitchen and dining room through the living room and back to the kitchen. They smack and bite each other a fair bit but all told their relationship is positive.

Mia
*tries to pull herself to sitting if I lay her down
*just started trying to roll. I worry that she doesn't get as much practice as the boys did but I'm sure she'll do fine.
*she's very smiley and really makes eye contact a lot
*she loves watching her brothers and is starting to be interested in holding toys or her clothes.
*Her hair is getting longer and I suspect she'll be a blondie like Kiv.
