Just what do we DO all day?

A friend of ours recently posted on her blog how she would like to accomplish more during her day. She's a stay-at-home-mom with 4 kids - two under the age of 4. After reading what she accomplishes during a day, I kinda feel like a slacker, so I'm going to try to track exactly what it is that I DO each day in hopes that it will end up looking more impressive to me tonight than usual. Here's what's going so far - check back during the day for updates:

4:00AM Woke. Couldn't go back to sleep. Nursed baby. Got up for a bowl of granola and a glass of water. Ended up finishing the editing on an information section on cephalopelvic disproportion I'm doing for ICAN's website. Read my email. Checked above-mentioned friend's blog.

6:00AM Am contemplating going back to bed. The baby was a wild man last night. Usually, he falls asleep nursing. Sometimes, he'll finish nursing and then roll over to finish falling asleep. The last two nights, he gets up when he's done nursing and crawls to the edge of the bed, lets himself down and plays with the dogs. With luck and some cuddles, he'll sleep until 9 or later this morning.

8:15AM He's up and chipper. Got him dressed, nursed, and fed by 9:00

10-11:30 We attended our regular Thurs morning playgroup

11:45 Akiva falls asleep in the car on the way home. Mom has some lunch and does some work on the computer

1:00 Still asleep. I have to run the vacuum, but I'll wait till he wakes up. Put in a load of laundry...later...I gave up around 2:00 and went to lie down with Kiv. We slept until 3:00

3:00 Kiv ate lunch (pasta and sauce - yum!). I restocked the vitamin organizer.

4:00 We Skyped with Grandma and Grandpa

4:30 We headed to the grocery

5:10 Home. Played with shape ball. Mark made supper while I watched Kiv and the debate.

8:00 Kiv in the bath for hair wash and comb out (we untangle everything once a week with conditioner, poor kid).

8:45 Kiv in clean diaper and PJs and in bed. Yay!

9:00 I make cupcakes and bread for Shabbat - the electricians come tomorrow and I won't have electricity back until 3:30. Ugh. Trying to do my cooking tonight.

9:51 Waiting for bread to rise and revising the CPD paper one more time (see 4AM)
