No pictures

Ok, so I can either post or go hunt for the cable which connects my camera to the computer...Someday I'll have a desk again with all this stuff within easy reach. In the meantime, I try to create order out of chaos wherever possible with two toddlers trashing the house :)

What's new with these kids:

Benj
* Started walking for real on Sept. 27. He had been taking some practice steps for several weeks but I guess he decided to officially use walking as his main mode of transportation.
* Understands quite a bit of language and will shake his head maniacally if asked a question to which the answer is "no" (i.e. "do you want to get off the swings now?")
* Gets violent when he's tired - bites, hits, pulls hair. Ouch.
* Stands up for himself to his brother - I gave them each cloths the other day to "clean" the side of the fridge and I turned around to see Benj whaling on Akiva for no apparent reason other than pent-up aggression. Kiv took his train one-too-many times, I suppose.
* Is very adventurous. Will. Climb. Anything.
* Has great manual dexterity - he can pull the baby-proof socket protector thingies out!
* Is very sweet and cuddly and full of personality :)

Kiv
* is moving out of toddler-hood and into being a Big Boy
* is able to really help out around the house now (yay!)
* is getting a great imagination - yesterday he spent most of the day "fishing" with a stick he brought home from the park. He'll sometimes come to me and say in a quiet voice "I'm stuck in the mud" which means he wants me to pretend to pull him out. Adorable.
* Likes rhyming verse - will sit for poem after poem from the A.A. Milne Now We Are Six collection.
* Experiences occasional bouts of jealousy if Benj gets hurt and is getting attention. Example: yesterday Benj fell and hit his head on the laundry basket. I picked Benj up and was cuddling him only to see Akiva throw himself at the same basket then lay on the floor crying. Not sure what to do about this.

I'll try to get the pics and videos up soon. It takes an uninterrupted chunk of time which I don't often get any more unless I'm blogging at 6:40 AM when I should be a)sleeping or b)cleaning something.
