It seems that everyone thinks I'm having another boy. At first I was pretty sure baby was a girl, but now I'm on the fence. Honestly I'm completely happy with either.
Yesterday I asked Oracle Akiva what the baby's name was. We haven't had a real pregnancy name for this baby - we keep trying to find one, but none stick. We feel a little neglectful, but then Akiva does something either super-cute or mischievous and we get distracted.
Anyway, in response to my question Akiva smiled and said, "Nee!" I asked again a few minutes later and got the same response. Now, I've never in my life heard him utter this particular sound, so I'm intrigued.
Today, I asked Akiva if the baby was a boy. He hugged my tummy. I asked if the baby was a girl. He poked me in the belly button with the set of keys he was playing with. When asked what the baby's name was, he grinned and said, "Nee-nee!" I asked several more times over the course of the evening and "Nee" or "Nee-nee" were always his responses.
Hmm. Maybe I should look at 'N' names again.
