Monkey Boy

Akiva has been rapidly acquiring new skills (and teeth):

1. He said his first sentence yesterday while sitting on the couch. Natasha (still looking for a new home for her) started barking. Akiva looked at me and said, "Tata woof-woof." (translation: Natasha's barking)

2. He can now throw full out temper tantrums complete with stomping, banging his head on things, and sometimes biting. Yay.

3. His new favorite pass-time is to pull pieces of dog food out from the bin and feed them to the dogs as treats from the benevolent dictator.

4. He sings. Mark was singing to "Guitarzan" in the car today (from the excellent "Ralph's World" CD given to Akiva by Aunt Suzanne) - Mark was yodeling and pretty soon Akiva was, too.

5. He has a molar on top and one on the bottom on the left side of his mouth - that brings him to 10 teeth total.

Here's a picture of Akiva and Laylie (his name for Ceilidh). Strangely enough, all dogs outside our house are "Tata" (Natasha). None of them are "Laylie". I can't figure that one out.

He was a monkey for Purim last week:

I LOVE the monkey picture!!! All my kids went through a phase of calling all the animals they met by one of the names of our pets. They also called all men they met dada for awhile. Ummm my little monkey boy has 2 dads, one he calls his "daddy meese" and the other he calls "cab"
