On Sunday, we did some errands - kosher meat run, shopping in Kitsilano where we got Kivi a BPA-free, pthalate-free water bottle - and we ate out at one of Vancouver's 5 kosher restaurants. Sunday night we all had a bath in the hotel room's enormous jetted-tub. Kivi loved having the extra space in which to maraud. He's become quite the bath man. He then enjoyed taking all the contents of the diaper bag and dumping them through the "window" to the main room and into the tub (after it was empty). Whatever amuses him.
Monday we enjoyed breakfast out and then trekked to the Vancouver aquarium. Akiva napped, but finally woke up during the Beluga whale show. He loved the aquarium and ran all over the place. We had to finally peel him away from the goose-necked barnacle exhibit. Here are some vacation photos (not sure why blogger is insisting on rotating some of them):
Akiva watching the belugas.
Akiva getting a kiss from a little girl who was there. It looks like he's hugging her back - he's not. He shoved her away about 2 seconds after this picture was taken.
Akiva in the tunnel of starfish and anemones.
Akiva looking at the hands-on starfish exhibit.
Akiva spent about 10 minutes watching the scarlet ibises in the Amazon exhibit. The kid is fascinated by birds.
